We've been enjoying sexy time through out the pregnancy (I'm 34 weeks). It was definitely gotten less frequent as I've gotten bigger (we're down to about once a week). It's been very enjoyable and interesting for both of us to notice things that feel different.
I never really felt nervous about it because I'd read so much about how it wasn't a problem. There were a couple of times that I experienced a little bit of very light blood after some particularly *ahem* vigorous enjoyment, but it was always ok. There is a lot of increased blood flow downtown, so it's not uncommon to end up with an irritated cervix.

No advice but I'm in the same boat as you. At first it was the fear, then we decided it should be fine, but honestly I'm just nauseous ALL the time. I can barely stand up sometimes.. :(

We didn't abstain during the first tri, although once I started feeling sick/exhausted it became a lot less frequent!

We didn't have our fun time until second trimester. I was in no mood for that during the first trimester. He totally understood. I let him know when I was ready again and he was happy. Haha.

We had lots of adult time in the first half of my pregnancy. It slowed in the second half a bit as I got bigger. We had no issues though, and have a healthy 9 month old now. The midwife said it was totally fine and wouldn't affect the pregnancy.

I didn't for a 2 week time period because I had some spotting (between weeks 6-8), but once the MD gave us the all clear we resumed. We now have a very healthy little girl Like artbee said better now before your belly grows.

I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks in my first pregnancy. It was not related to sex, but the next time I got pregnant it was actually my husband who didn't want to have sex until he saw an ultrasound with a heartbeat, which for us was at 8 weeks. I'm 24 weeks now and everything is going well.

It's probably fine to have sex, but I can understand being concerned. There are always other things you two can do if you aren't comfortable having actual sex. ;)

I was also worried about this when I was so I did ask my doctor, and she said it was fine unless we noticed any bleeding (which never happened). But it is perfectly normal to be worried. Just keep in mind the baby is sealed in the sac and having sex doesnt touch or affect the baby.

We had plenty of sexy time during the first trimester and I have a very healthy baby. Maybe calling and asking your doctor will make you feel better.

Do it before your belly gets big and it starts to get uncomfortable!

So I've been waiting, and sure enough, last night DH demanded to know if he had to wait another 2 months before he got to have sexytime. I've been super paranoid about miscarriage (I'm 5 weeks) so we haven't since we conceived! He's getting...ahem, frustrated.

I'm not sure just hearing it will convince me anyway, but for the sake of trying - any reassurances or bad stories to help me out here?
