@mrsjazz: I'd watch the Jazz Family on Bravo!

Your poop stories make me re-think this whole TTC thing...

@locavore_mama: Yeah, it's hard for me because she always poops when I need at least 10 more minutes of sleep. I didn't feel any pressure to start but now that she's ripping her diaper off after she uses it I guess we need to come up with a game plan. I have to put her in onesies for the nanny.

@mediagirl: She'll be 20 months next week. It was hilarious while it was happening, too. I kept on telling her I wish we had a reality show camera crew there so we could catch her antics on camera.

This story was sort of hilarious from an outsider. :) I'm sorry you got hit in the head with a poopy diaper, had your floor peed on and ended up chasing a toddler with a poopy butt around your house!! Remind me - what's your lo's age?

Haha oh no!

I think we are close too. I'm thinking of starting right after she turns 2 when the weather is warmer and I won't mind her running around with a naked bum.

She wants to take her diaper off lately, let's me. Know when she has "poo poo" and we always plop on her the potty before bath time. Although I should start doing that when she wakes up. But it's hard because we're always running late!

I wasn't sure if this should go in toddlers or potty. Are your toddlers who are not yet potty trained but showing signs of wanting to be potty trained doing some zany things with their diapers?

Here's my morning:

I was up late last night so it was hard to get out of bed this morning. LO was up and jumping around on the bed while I tried to rest a little more. She said "Poop" and I didn't want to get up to take her to the potty (we haven't officially started potty training yet) so I just told her to poop in her diaper and I closed my eyes.

A couple of minutes later I get hit in the head with something: She's holding her poopy diaper and pajama bottoms out to me. I jump up and clean her before she gets poop all over the bed. I then make the mistake of putting on a new diaper and lying back down for 5 minutes. She starts saying "Uh oh" over and over, I open my eyes and she has taken off her diaper and peed on the floor! (Bad, tired mommy!) I gave her some tissue and asked her to clean it up. She wiped up her pee and then tried to blow her nose with the pee tissue!

I took her to the potty and told her that this was where she pees and poops and sat her down and she pooped, got up, looked at it and said, "Ewwwww!" and ran away from me with a dirty butt.

Lesson learned. From now on I get up as soon as she says Poop and take her to the potty.
