I don't have true advice but just wanted to say that my LO was used to sleeping in cribs (at home and at daycare) and when she moved into the toddler room at daycare, they switched to floor beds. I think it took a few days of adjusting but she figured it out pretty quickly once she saw the older kids doing it. It may take your LO a little longer since she is only there 2 days per week but I bet she will figure it out.

My son went through this when he went from the infant room (cribs) to the toddler room (cots). I think at first they held him until he got tired, and then they had a teacher sitting next to him rubbing his back while he fell asleep, after a few weeks he was able to go to sleep on his own. Now he's fine, a solid 2 hour nap every day. He still sleeps in a crib at home.

My DS sleeps in a crib at home and a cot at daycare. He's been doing this for 6/7 months. He never seemed to have a problem, but I know they use to have to rub his back to help him fall asleep. I'm sure she will get the hang of it, it might just take some time.

Ok bees, lay your advice on me!

My daughter started daycare yesterday after being in grandma care. She's still with one grandma two days a week, and then home with me for one day. So she'll be in daycare two days a week.

She naps in a crib at home and a Pack n' Play at her grandparents' houses. At daycare, they nap on cots. She has a little Dora the Explorer nap mat. At home, after lunch I tell her it's time for a nap, rock her a little, and put her in her crib. She rolls around and gets comfy, but usually falls asleep within 5 minutes or so.

I warned daycare she was used to her crib so I think she'll need some adjustment time. She didn't nap at all yesterday and eventually they took her to the administrative office with her cot and everything. She just sat on the cot and looked at books and played with the sweet receptionist.

Will she just figure this out on her own? Daycare said they'll just keep trying with rocking her and rubbing her back. Any advice? What worked for your kiddos on transitioning from crib sleep to daycare cot naps?
