Have you talked with your doctor about it? You're definitely not supposed to quit cold turkey, but since you've already beem without it for a full week, your doctor might have advice on whether to go back on a small dose and taper slowly, or id you're past the worse being a week out and can continue that way.

it took a good couple of weeks to feel like myself again after weaning from viibryd and buspar. i had no energy, was moody and experienced "brain zaps" which seriously disturbed my sleep. also i had crazy crazy dreams that messed up my sleep as well.

i have heard it can take up to a month to be 100% though. good luck!

Do not go cold turkey!!! I've weaned off of it several times and you really must taper down slowly. Otherwise you get the dizzy/head swimming feeling that just makes you miserable. I'm not a doctor, but if I were you I would take half of your 50 mg pills (aka 25 mg) for a week or so and then start taking them every other day for a week or so, then stop. If you don't want to do that, then you can power through the symptoms until they stop, but I know how unpleasant they are so that wouldn't be my personal choice! I was on 100 mg and it honestly took me about 2 months of slow weaning. Since you are on a lower dose, it should take a few weeks if you go slowly or maybe 1-2 weeks of feeling crappy if you go cold turkey. Good luck!

I've been on Zoloft for about 10 months now and really want to get off of it. I feel pretty good, but "relations" with DH are pretty much non-existent. I was on 75mg, and I decreased to 50mg a few months ago. A week or so ago I stopped taking it. Actually, I forgot to take it for a couple days, then just figured I'd continue not taking it. For the most part I feel okay....I've been a little cranky, but that's really nothing unusual. Yesterday though I started getting some dizzy spells. I've read that this is one of the withdrawal side effects.

If you've weaned off zoloft, or other anti-depressants, what was your experience like? How long do the withdrawals last?
