@runnerd: I'm in the same boat as you. I signed up for the KDF mini in November, but I'll be 17 weeks pregnant and didn't run more than 5 miles between my half and my BFP. I decided not to do it, but maybe you could volunteer at a water station? I'm thinking about doing that, it's a good way to get in the race spirit and give back.

@runnerd: I know it's not the answer you wanted : ( I ended up not being able to work out my whole pregnancy because of my issues. It sucked... And sucked even harder getting back into it after she was born. But it was totally worth it to keep her healthy and cooking away!! We can talk more about it tomorrow if you want. Can't wait!!

Given your history I wouldn't. I think that level of training is pushing it when you've had issues with spotting. I had spotting through out my pregnancy and I definitely noticed that increased physical activity caused me to have bleeding. My daughter was born healthy and full term... But I was also on modified bed rest (I was only allowed to work) from 26-36 weeks.

I am trying to decide whether to do a half marathon in late April. Obviously I will ultimately listen to my body, but just wanted thoughts on whether you would do it...

Background:

1. I have run all distances (5k to marathon) the past three years, and generally consider myself half marathon ready within a few weeks notice.
2. I took it really easy after my last marathon in Nov and didn't run longer than 6 miles from Nov to Jan.
3. I had to take a month off running due to spotting and am starting back Friday.

I would be nearly 18 weeks at the time of half. Thoughts? Is that unreasonable to train for?
