Thanks everyone for your help! It was much appreciated!
I ended up waking her around 9:30 by giving her a bath but she went down again around 10:30.

@yoursilverlining: You were right! She only woke once during the night like usual.

There's a big growth spurt at 6 weeks. I think she'll be ok. I had a rule that I never let him go more than 2.5 hours during a nap. The key to having them sleep at night is to make sure they're getting their ounces of milk during the day. If you're skipping feedings during the day, they're more likely to wake up for it at night.

You might be ok tonight. Sometimes with my LO, sleep breeds sleep. Sometimes she will nap a ton during the day (3+ hours at a stretch, a couple times a day at 6 weeks was not uncommon) and then sleep fine at night. Sometimes she is up all day and sleeps fine at night....or is up all day and up twice for feedings at night. It all seems to be random. Good luck, hope you get sleep tonight!! FWIW, I think you will :)

@chopsuey119: I'd be ok with that if it was during night hours...she did almost 6 last night and it was awesome!

@plantains: How awesome, they're date twins :) I hear you, mine didn't nap that much either. I really was hoping to have a repeat of last night where she went down at 10:40 and only woke at 4:30 to eat lol. I just really don't want to start my day at 4:30.

I never woke my LO and just let her sleeeeeeeep until she woke.
At 6 weeks she did have her first long stretch of sleep. I got 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep!

@cheesetomywhine: I'm interested to see what people think about this. Our LOs are the same age, mine will be 6 weeks old tomorrow too. She has had abit of dfficuly napping today. She finally went down at 6.45 and is still sleeping. I'm worried about tonight but don't want to wake her since she didn't get much sleep today.

My LO will be 6 weeks tomorrow and her sleep has been pretty good at night. Napping isn't the best but we're working on it. However I'm worried about tonight. She has been asleep since about 4:30 and it is now 8:55. I woke her once to eat but she wouldn't stay up afterwards. I'm going to try giving her a bath in hopes that she'll stay awake for a bit. Does anyone know if this is normal??? Am I going to be up all night long? My DH and I really cannot keep her awake...it is very strange.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
