I've used both and I can't tell the difference as far as milk expression. I prefer my Freestyle because it doesn't need to be plugged in!

I've used both and preferred the Medela for ease of use and cleaning though the Ameda was just as effective.

I love my Ameda! Mine came with all the parts needed. And any narrow neck bottle can screw into the flanges. I use some medela bottles all the time since they hold 5 ounces instead of 4 like the ameda bottles that came with my pump. I also like that its a closed system.

I have a Ameda Purely Yours and love it. Not sure how the Medela works but my pump came with all the parts I needed already.

Ameda is a closed system and I didn't realize that Medelas are not! Meaning milk never touches the tubes in the Ameda!

I need some advice on which pump to get through my insurance. I have a Medela Pump In Style Advanced and it works fine (I guess - it's the only one I've ever had). I am totally excited about the idea of having two pumps and not having to lug one to work every day. Insurance covers a Medela Advanced Personal Double Pump and an Ameda Purely Yours. Anyone have an Ameda? Do you like it? I'm considering going that route as I currently am barely pumping enough to get LO through the next day and often have to dip into a dwindling freezer stash. I'm wondering if I might get better results with a different pump but I have a ton of parts for Medela. What would you do?
