I had a hard time finding the right person and ended up finding my doula through recommendations from another doula who was having a baby just before my due date. She did such a great job. I just contacted her to be my doula for baby #2 BUT she's going to be out of the country for 10 days right before my due date. :( </p> <p>She said I could still hire her knowing that it's possible I will get her back up doula. </p> <p>I'm torn now. I'm not sure if I should just look for a new doula that I know would most likely be the one that will attend the birth or hire the doula I used before. </p> <p>Would it be ok for me to ask to meet my old doula's back up doula? Also, if I decide not to hire her, is it ok that I ask her for recommendations? Or is that a no no? </p>
