I'd come prepared knowing why you want and have a proposal ready detailing what your schedule could be, compensation, the works. It'll give him time to mull I thermally of he has stuff to read an not have to respond verbally immediately and would be a great starting point for discussion. I wouldn't apologize at all in any way- it's a personal decision not a mistake and sets a tone that you owe them something instead of presenting an alternative opportunity. I plan on emailing my boss tomorrow. He's the kind of guy that needs to read an email, have a chance to process, then we can discuss it in person.</p> <p>I have *no* clue what to say. I'm so afraid. I am open to part time working from home, but don't want to return to the office full time.</p> <p>Suggestions on what to write/what to say would be much appreciated.<br /> How did/would you handle this? </p>
