Thanks everyone. That is reassuring. I try to keep the stress down. I think I've done well so far. It's when AF shows up that I get anxious about it all. This is cycle lucky number 7 so maybe this will be it. Thanks so much everyone.

Your timing is wonderful. We have always struggled with timing too and only ever hit two days during our fertile window.

We both struggled with the fertile window marathon as well. The first cycle we got pregnant from one time (this ended in a CP).

I'm 4 weeks + 1 now, and again, one time deal. This was our fourth cycle actively trying since our CP, and I added OPKs to the mix, we had sex the day I got the positive, and my husband was sick so it didn't happen again. The other cycles they were marathons every day or every other day.

I think the lack of stress around timing was better for us in the long run, for what it's worth

@Shizaz: My RE advised us that every other day was more than enough. We loosely followed the approach advocated in this free amazon book download (http://www.amazon.com/The-Sperm-Meets-Egg-Plan-ebook/dp/B009O1ZYQG). I thought it was helpful and you can't beat free!

I think your timing is great. Everything I've read indicates that O-1 is more important than O. It's good that you covered your bases with O+1 too, in case the egg is slow traveling.

Good luck this month! See you on the March POAS thread. It'll be my 6th cycle.

Hi everyone. As I sit here at work feeling miserable with AF cramps, I can't help but think I want this to be her last visit this year. I think I could use some advice on timing things.

This cycle, we DTD on the following days: O-5, O-2, O-1 and O+1. O day was excruciating for me this cycle (I actually went to the doctors) so there was no way we were getting anything done that day.

Was our timing good? I guess it could have been better if we'd hit O day as well. I hope it won't be so painful this cycle but if it is, maybe I'll just suck it up.

This is cycle 7 for us now. I can't help but feel like we're doing something wrong. DH and I don't have extremely high sex drives, so doing it every second day for a week is pretty draining on us. Last cycle I had ovulation pain for a week so I was really confused about timing so we didn't follow our usual every second day. But I think the timing was still pretty good.

Advice is welcome!
