I personally wouldn't replace a nursing session with a bottle because then you'll just have to bottle wean later. Replace it with a sippy instead. If you don't have a ton of breast milk, just replace with WCM (or some sort of mix at first). What I did with Xander was remove one session each week until we were where I wanted to be. So for you, I might do this:

First week: Replace evening bottle with nursing (and then cut out the pumping session)
Second week: Replace 1:30 nursing with sippy cup
Third week: Replace 9:00 nursing with sippy cup
Fourth week: Replace 4:30 nursing with sippy cup

Then continue nursing the rest of the time (or remove as you see fit, one at a time). Good luck!

R is 10.5 months and EBF. I WAH and though he takes a bottle a day, he mostly nurses.

I want to be done nursing around 1 (in 5 weeks). Or at least down to evening and morning nursing soon after age 1. Currently he nurses at 3:30a, 6:30a, 9a (or before his morning nap....this seems to be just for comfort though), 1:30p (before afternoon nap...again I feel like it's not that much), 4:30p (ish), and then takes a bottle of pumped milk before bed around 7p. I pump at 8:30 and get 5 oz and he gets that the next night. He takes a 5 oz bottle before bed, but during the day doesn't drink as much. E.g., I'm not at home and nanny gave him a bottle before his afternoon nap and he drank 3 oz. I'm guessing this is what he drinks at the breast now.

How do I wean start weaning? Just get rid of the two pre-nap nursing sessions? Start offering cow's milk at 11 months with meals? Replace nursing with a bottle? I have some frozen breastmilk, but it's probably only around 15 bags (75 oz). Start always nursing before bed, knowing that he'll probably be drinking less before bed?

Thanks!
