DD is pretty good about leaning back but not always. I will sometimes have her lie back in the bath water while I lather it out. Not as clean as rinsing with fresh water but better than nothing!

@Mrs. Twine: Great idea! We have this problem too, I always say "look up, look up" but of course he never does. I will have to get some stickers asap.

Someone once suggested putting a sticker on the ceiling or high on the wall they can look at-- it works! I put a different one up there each time, and then ask Lorelei to find the dog or horse or whatever and she will usually look long enough for me to finish what I need to do. Or you could put the sticker on your own cheek or face if you are using a detachable shower head and have him look at you. I love stickers. They are magic at our house.

Lately, DS has a fit whenever I try to rinse the shampoo off his hair in the bath. I used to just lift his head back close enough to the bathroom faucet, but now he refuses that method. I've tried wash cloth (squirms & screams), detachable showerhead (squirms and screams), so I finally bought one of those Munchkin shampoo rinsers. The Munchkin would work great if only he would just lean his head backwards, but of course he does the exact opposite. No amount of pleading or gently pushing his head back is working. I just end up getting sudsy water all over his face and him screaming at me. Oh....boy!
