He asks that we turn on the lights in his room when he sleeps and we do and it doesn't bother him to sleep through the night. She is all of a sudden afraid of everything. We put a nightlight in, leave her door open until she falls asleep, and we've made monster spray. Not sure where he got that, probably a book or movie or school..... But at night he sleeps in complete darkness. At almost 4 and a half she still either has a lamp or bright night light. She's always been prone to night terrors and we found if she could have enough light to immediately orient herself she calmed down quickly but if it was dark when she had one, even if we got there quick to turn on the light, she was already past the point of quickly calming down. She hates the dark and needs us to turn lights on for her. She sleeps with a light on in her room. Anyone else have a child who is afraid of the dark? </p>
