I'm able to drop her to her classroom in the morning. Her program doesn't "help" with homework per se. They just have a table for homework where kids are supposed to be quiet. The program also asked us to fill out a form about homework preferences. e.g. is she supposed to work on Math homework, or supposed to do as much homework as possible while there, etc. Kids also have to sign a "contract" saying they are going to work on the homework. They can choose to do homework in after care but they wont make them and DS doesn't want to. I actually prefer him to run around at after care and burn off some energy so when we get home he can easily sit for 5 mins and do his homework while I make dinner. I'm not sure its mandatory though and there isn't really assistance. Even if it's not through the school. I'm sure not all of them do it but I think a lot do!<br /> Yeah, my one brother doesn't get home till 8pm and before they started aftercare he would have to help them with their homework and check it. Some nights they were still up at 10:30! :(</p> <p>ETA: the ones at the school are nice because they're typically one of the teachers in their grade. I haven't done the full research yet. </p>
