@apis: number 4 is a new annoying occurrence for us. He holds his legs close to chest. It makes it hard to attach the straps of his diaper!

@bunnylove08: When it's over, I'll tell you! I should have pointed out an intermediate step:

1b. Wail pitifully throughout the whole process when other people are present in order to show daddy in the worst light possible, then fall back into a contented silence the moment (a) daddy's mother-in-law, (b) daddy's mother, or (c) the nanny has left the room.

@runsyellowlites: Our nearly-eight-month-old has a checklist that he goes through. I found a copy that he must have dropped, lying under his crib:

1. When placed on changing table, start to half-cry, writhe around wildly, and desperately grab for anything within reach, especially if it's sharp and/or chemical.

2. When diaper is being removed: (a) continue to twist violently and unpredictably, (b) kick legs, preferably at daddy's wrists, and (c) remember to waggle arse around as much as possible, especially if there is poop.

3. When wipes are being used, make sure to grab at them, especially if they have already been applied to the buttocks area.

4. When new diaper is being applied, remember to keep legs together and rigid, putting all one's weight onto them, while gesturing wildly and manically, also trying to snatch daddy's glasses from his face. Extra points are awarded for (a) getting hold of daddy's glasses, (b) dropping them, (c) into poop.

5. When onesie and trousers are being replaced, make sure to splay feet and toes out as widely as possible to prevent trouser legs from fitting and, if possible, try to place both legs into a single trouser leg.

6. When removed from the changing table, go limp, feign exhaustion and demand to be put down.

7. When daddy has left the room, start to pee with the force and vehemence of a Kentucky Derby winner, and insist that your diaper needs to be changed.

Yep, E does this a lot too! Usually ends with me saying "Really?!?" and him smirking at me.

I tell you, the ENTIRE time I'm trying to change P's diaper she's trying to turn & get away.... THEN as soon as I'm done she just lays there... like she *can't* move!

Makes no sense whatsoever! lol

Anyone else have a lo that does this?
