I would, especially with the fence issue. I think there is a 3' setback from property lines on both sides (at least where we live) so it could make a big difference.

I would - this is the perfect opportunity to do so since you want to put up a fence -

Even if you don't want/need them to remove the concrete wall its still a good idea to let them know

I would absoultely discuss with the neighbors, I don't think that there is anything wrong with statement of facts. I am more concerned about liability than with actual property lines...what if something happens with the wall? Whose fault is it if it crumbles and injures someone?

How long has the concrete wall been on your property? Like Sunny said adverse possession could come into play here.

What you want go accomplish? Do you want everything moved? Then yea talk but if you have setbacks they'd probably include the area the wall is in anyway and the goal potentially. I think setbacks are typ 5' but it depends on the neighborhood if they exist or not. So in short no I probably wouldn't.

Hmmm I would be inclined to ignore it except that there are laws around adverse possession that you should look into.

I would let it sit unless it was an issue? I mean if the wall is blocking the fence patch that is going to be a giant headache for everyone -- I have learned it is a lot easier to let things sit until there is a reason to discuss further.

I wouldn't bother with the concrete wall people (as long as you don't mind it staying there) since its only 3", but the hoop is easy to move and it should move if it is more on your property.

I would definitely talk to them and give them the heads up. At my parent's house, the neighbors were building a new fence and we noticed it was being expanded into our property. The old fence left visible marks but they didn't want to use those as a guideline at first. I guess they thought a few inches didn't matter but it was a big deal to us. It reduced the pathway to the outside A.C. unit and was very noticeable. We said something immediately. They apologized and used the old fencing marker as guidelines as they should of.

So, we recently got a survey done. Looks like two neighbors are on our property... Not huge deals, but I personally feel like we should tell them.... One has a basketball hoop. Another has a concrete wall.... We want to put up a fence. Not sure if they will interfere yet.

Would you mention anything to neighbors? Maybe wait until we get quote from fencing company? Not mention at all? I think the concrete wall is only like three inches into our property. Ugh. I definitely don't want to be that neighbor.
