They were not exciting ultrasounds because they were checking the length of my cervix, baby's kidney function, lung development, etc. There was no "Oh, look! There's the baby's toes!"-- etc. The techs were pretty focused, and so was I-- instead of asking the tech fun questions like "Where's baby's face? And I always love seeing him move around in there and how much he's grown! I don't think it's necessary though because pregnancy is going problem-free so far. My friend's doc did a 3rd trimester scan even though she had a normal pregnancy. They're notorious for being wrong for birth size &amp; have attributed to lots of unnecessary intervention &amp; minimizing a woman's ability to birth.
