My son will build them, and then almost immediately take them apart, add on or modify.

The kids leave them as is but I try to sneak then back into the box when they don't play with them much any more, so we don't lose too many pieces.

My son is into vehicles. Once he builds them, he plays with them and the pieces tend to fall off, so he rebuilds them in different ways. We have a few shelves in the playroom that he uses for parking lots for his fleet.

We have one car that can be rebuilt into 2 other vehicles, but he hasn't shown any interest in rebuilding it yet.

LO breaks them apart to make other creations. DH and I are the type to build and play with it as is, so it's hard for us to let him create lol.

LO plays with it and it falls apart! I keep the instructions in case he ever wants them, but mostly he rebuilds in another way or makes modifications to the original.

I toss them in a bin. If the kids want to take them apart they can, but all the pieces are mixed up with other pieces.

What do you do with it? Do you keep it together for a bit and then take it apart, or leave it up to keep playing with?

My girls got tons of sets for Christmas and we put them all together, and they are currently on the lego table and on the cube shelf next to it for storage. Of course, several pieces have already come off but we just plan to keep them up with no intention of taking them apart to rebuild them.
