I felt mostly relief that we were done, but did get hit with some baby fever and sadness about each milestone being our last (the fever and sadness was strongest during the first year)
My son is 26 months old now, we're potty training soon, and Im really looking forward to potty training for the last time ever. I have 5 pregnant friends and 1 with a 2 day old newborn. Lol. I have absolutely no baby fever and am so relieved we don't have to go through all that again. :D
I'm really happy with having one of each, and hope the same for you!

@MrsMccarthy: I definitely felt done. DD will be 4 next week and I get excited about moving past the baby stuff - when we were done with diapers, done with cribs, done with sippy cups, etc.

When I see pregnant women though I do get a little sappy and think "ah, I miss being pregnant" but then I see a 6 month old crying and crying and think "OMG I am so glad I am done with babies" :silly:

Last time I felt very wistful about each milestone... But this time I feel very at peace with each thing (he just did his first social smile), las newborn hospitalization etc.

I think it's because I feel really done after this... But I am savoring every moment!

Well, my last baby isn't that old yet (only 12 weeks), but I don't feel sad that he's our last. I actually haven't really thought about it much. Maybe it hasn't hit me yet??

I had our last baby in November of 2014. I am totally fine with her being our last. I truly feel like our family is complete and honestly, I don't even think about the fact that I won't have any more kids, I just cherish the two we were blessed with.

It was a little sad when she was a baby, but now I'm pretty used to the idea and fine with it!

@MrsMccarthy: oh, I definitely felt done! Right after she was born, my first thought was that I would never have to do that again (completely unmedicated L&D)! Haha, but seriously, in my mind we have always been done at two, so it was a closure, of sorts.

My friend felt happy actually, as soon as she saw the positive HPK test she thought "yes!!! This is the last time I ever have to do this again!" Haha this was their second baby. :).

I was kind if hoping more people would say they felt really done hahaha but I do think trying to live in the moment is always good especially as a parent.

We just had twins, so definitely our last and it makes me a little sad that it takes real effort to savor any of it because mostly I'm trying to survive 3 kids 2 and under.

It's definitely hard. This baby has been so sweet so it makes it even harder. I'm just trying to savor every stage. Good luck Mama!

Our DD is definitely our last. It was/is definitely bittersweet. I really tried (and still try) to savor every moment, especially in the newborn phase. I also try to remind myself how lucky I am with the two LOs that I have and look forward to watching them grow into their own people.

Did you feel sad or feel like time was fleeting? I am 37 weeks tomorrow with our last baby and I am wondering how I am going to feel once she is born. I would love one more but it's not something my husband wants. I'm kind of hoping that ill end up feeling really good and done and just enjoy but I also worry I might panic at every passing milestone being "the last"! I know eventually we all have to say goodbye to baby stage so it's inevitable but I wonder if my desire for another will make it a bit harder. How did it go down for you? Did anything surprise you? Thanks for sharing.
