And I'm convinced it helps. I have to shake hands fairly often at work, and I swear I get less sick when I use hand sanitizer as soon as possible after. So after I shake hands with someone, I try not to touch anything or anyone with that hand... until I can slip away and wash my hands with a little soap.</p> <p>It's tough though because I shake hands with a lot of people every day! I'm probably overly paranoid about it, but I noticed that I rarely get sick these days while everyone around me has been dropped by colds and other ailments. So anecdotally at least, it's been paying off for me! I don't like washing my hands so many times a day though...</p> <p>Do you wash/Purell after a handshake? </p>
