We'll go a few months between uses sometimes but my son hasn't rebelled being worn as long as we are moving. We went strawberry picking this past weekend and would have used it (DD is now 26m) but we forgot it at home. I'd suggest doing some trial runs just to get LO used to it again. The Ergo is great because you can do back/hip carries with it at the older ages. We are planning some light hiking trips in the coming weeks and will definitely be taking it with us so DH can carry DD when she gets tired.
