Good luck!! Our landlord was going to boot us out of our townhouse right before LO was due b/c she wanted to move back in. Luckily she's reasonable, and we worked a deal out w/ her where we can stay put for a few more months and just pay a little more rent. Then... we'll be moving cross country at the end of July w/ our 4-month old and our pet rabbit. I'm dreading it. Crazy that our situations are slightly similar. Due to miscommunications with our landlord, we were told last week we had to move in about 7 days... They offered us a temporary apt two blocks down. That's nice, but we are also moving to CA in about 3 weeks... And once in CA, we'll be with my mom for a bit and then moving again. So in a nutshell, we will probably be moving three times in about two months, with one of the moves being a NY to CA move. I have a 4 year old and a (teething) 10 month old too. Last weekend while packing, the infant had a fever for 24 hours... It's been tough but I figure this is our biggest move ever and once in CA, we'll be near family who have already said they can't wait to help us... That's my motivation right now. Good luck!! When we had a newborn baby, we had to relocate from FL to CA. I had to pack up as much as I could, with the newborn, while my husband was away in CA with his new job.</p> <p>We got about a three week notice to move from CA to GA (what-up @chopsuey119!!), with a one year old, and me freshly pregnant.</p> <p>The internet is your friend in finding a place to live, but it sounds like you've got that covered. I suggest hiring a full-service moving company, and just packing the sentimental/expensive things yourself. The life of an aid worker, I guess. So we knew we'd be relocating internationally in May/June, although we didn't have an exact date.<br /> Well we have one now. April 30. Four days from now.</p> <p>We're not even exactly moving, we just have to be out of our current apartment, completely, in the next four days. Then we'll be living in an interim place for two weeks before flying to Chicago, where we'll be another two weeks, before taking a train to our final destination, FL (final as in, at least a few months, maybe a year or two). Oh dear God.</p> <p>Any suggestions, encouragement, sympathy? lol</p> <p>I'm sort of freaking out a little bit. </p>
