I felt like I was never going to stop being pregnant. But then I went into labor and had a fabulous experience, which I believe was made much easier by how "overripe" I was. I was so upset! I also had everyone at work emailing me/etc.... That day seemed to go on forever, and the next day as I "settled in" as someone above mentioned and accepted it - i went into labor! Baby was born 2 days after my due date!</p> <p>You will get there! I had a little hope at 38W that I might deliver early, but as of yesterday, I simply gave up hope and think I could be pregnant for a very long while (I'm oddly comfortable, so really, I probably could be..). If she doesn't come on her own, we'll likely induce around 41W, maybe just a bit later. </p> <p>The comments didn't come on full force until today. My boss leads a weekly meeting with our entire company (~100 people) and announced to everyone yesterday that today is my due date. ugh. It was very kind of him because he was just congratulating me publicly on the upcoming event, but I have SO many people thinking I'm delivering today. While I appreciate the love, its sad to get text after text of people saying they are thinking/praying for us while we're in labor and that they can't wait to hear the news. </p> <p>What is it with people thinking that your EDD is your actual delivery date? I never thought this, even before we were pregnant, but... others seem to? </p> <p>I will have a baby, right? I can't believe how in denial I am right now.. </p>
