Yes, I took 12 through security this week and they didn't even swab them down.

Yes. But when we just recently went they said we need to put them in a separate tray or they would need to swab for bomb powder or whatever they swab for.

@NorCalWayfarer: you should be fine, but just a note that I've had to have my hands swabbed when bringing pouches.

@NorCalWayfarer: yep. It's got to be reasonable amounts but they shouldn't give you a problem at all.

Yes. Never had an issue flying with pouches or other kid foods

ETA: although most pouches are fine with air pressure changes, be careful when you open them. I had one where the contents were a little excited to get out of the pouch! :silly:

@looch: OK thanks!!! Even if he's 2 years old? I hope so because although he doesn't eat pouches frequently, they are super helpful to avoid hangry meltdowns some times!!!

Yep, they're allowed. Pretty much any food for kids will be allowed in reasonable amounts for the flight. You just need to tell them and show them. In almost 6 years of flying with my son, I've never had a problem.

Flying since the first time LO is over 2 and I'm wondering if they will let us bring food pouches as carry on since they are over 3oz? We flew a lot with him when he was an infant and they always allowed BM and food pouches, regardless of size but I'm wondering now that he's technically a ticketed passenger (even through we bought him seats as an infant) that the adult rules re carryon apply to him. Thanks!
