@MrsRcCar: My LO is 5 months old, and I just flew with him last week for the first time. I gate checked the stroller, and I was planning on gate checking the car seat (he was a lap baby), but they had open seats, so I was able to bring the seat on the plane.

My only advice would be about ear popping due to pressure change... I gave LO a bottle when we would take off or made sure he had his binky to suck on to help with the pressure change. I guess it worked, because he didn't fuss. Just something to keep in mind in case it bothers your LO!

Oh and FWIW, I had nooo problem with TSA. It was a lot smoother than I thought it would be! Good luck :)

@locavore_mama: Wish our flight was that short! I do like your check list. I hoping to not have any problems with TSA.

We are gearing up for a trip in two weeks. Our complete travel time will be about 9 hours (not including travel to the airport and our hotel). I would love to see what other bees have as a check list for flying with a young toddler. N is going to be 14 months old. Our first flight is 4:30pm so he will have had breakfast and lunch already. We then arrive at our lay over in time for dinner to be had in the airport. Our next flight is just after his bedtime bottle.

So I am looking for a travel checklist and/or tips for flying with a young toddler. (Also he is going to a lap infant on the flights)

Thanks for any help you can give !
