@Mrs. Jacks: I'm definitely planning on watching it today and calling our ped tomorrow if it gets any worse. No airway issues- at least not now!

It's hard to know from a cell phone pic, but it looks more (based on the pic) like eczema. It would also be random for an allergic reaction to develop overnight unless it was a contact dermatitis from something he was in contact with overnight.

As with all things like this, if you are concerned, check in with your doctor. Also if there is any airway involvement (wheezing, breathing problems...) that's an emergency.

@sorrycharlie: It doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. I was thinking excema possibly too- I have it so I've always watched for it on him. Would excema not show up until almost a year old? I don't know! I guess I'll just watch it and see what happens.

the top picture almost looks like it could be - but the bottom looks almost like eczema? I have no idea - does it seem to bother him?

@Crisark: We've been away on vacation for the past week and a half so he's been around a lot of random stuff but we didn't feed him anything new that I can think of.

If there was something new introduced or if he was around anything random I would say that it's an allergic reaction.

Does this rash look like an allergic reaction to you? When E went to bed last night it was on one side of his face and when I got him out of bed this morning it was on both.
