@Mrs. Sunshine: My dog's allergies don't cause her eyes to get like this so I would go to a vet ASAP to make sure it's nothing more serious. My dog has very bad allergy issues and she's never done this.

I would call the vet. My dog has had an eye infection before and needed drops.

I might try a vet - even if it was allergies, that seems like more than a mild reaction.

I would say its time for a vet visit. Eye infections are nothing to mess around with.

Also, I hate to get on my soapbox but have you thought about getting her fixed?

@MrsPastryLady: I have noticed extra ear flapping lately as well! No extra discharge...

Does it bother her when you try to get near her eye? Is there more discharge than normal? If yes, then I would take her to the vet.

My dog's allergies have been very bad recently (like shaking her head all of the time for her ears, lots of paw licking, some eye discharge) and we sometimes give her a benedryl when its really bothersome. But our dog also hurt her eye once, so if it seems like its not allergies or any other symptoms come up, I wouldn't mess around since its her eye.

So for several days my dogs left eye as been looking a little off. We thought maybe MIL's cat got her (She's our neighbor & our dog just can't seem to leave her alone). But then earlier my dog was sitting in front of me & both of her eyes rolled back into her head & her eyes were a little over 1/2 closed. We have been suspecting she was pregnant so I thought maybe she fell asleep sitting up, so I called her name & she began wagging her tail & she came & sat in my lap but her eyes stayed the same. The right one went back to normal after a minute or so but the left one is still messed up. MIL thinks she has allergies. Here's a pic:
