@mewtill: Yes she likes her daycare and most days I can drop her off without her crying when I leave.

@Thehistoryofus: I thought I'd cried enough in the week leading up to it and I'd be okay. Ordering my coffee through my sniffles was a low point. I'm hoping being at work will be better for the distraction level (I teach 2nd grade so I hope they'll keep me busy!)

Does your LO like daycare?

Glad you are enjoying your day. We also did a half practice day and I wasn't back to work yet. Honestly, that was one of the hardest days! When I was at work, I had distractions and I stayed busy. I actually felt guilty I didn't miss her more. But that first day home alone caused some tears!

The daycare DS will start next month lets him have a free 1/2 day to "practice". He's only 9.5 weeks and I dropped him off around 10:30 today.

I've gone to Starbucks, took the long way home, finished off several cookies, and am now feeling pretty lonely. I've been with DS for 11 months (I'm counting pregnancy, we were literally two peas in a pod!) and now some really nice strangers are getting all his sweetness.

Does anyone else feel like they're missing out when LO is in daycare? Also, I'd love some stories about how amazing daycare is, how much LOs are loved by great teachers, & how you've never heard of anyone's LO dying of SIDS at daycare. If you please :)
