Could you do a dirt cake? Even sand cake if you don't want the chocolate.

You could do a soft rice krispie treat cake. Super easy, you can use butter and vegan marshmallows.

Are you sold on making it yourself? If not what about looking into a vegan bakery? I've noticed that many of them have great gluten free options, too.

How about a corn muffin? Corn meal plus gf flour and 1T cornstarch beaten I to 1/4 c water as an egg substitute. That's what we did when DS was egg allergic. Top with frosting or whipped cream and sprinkles.

I have made these, and they are delicious and super easy (and it makes quite a few more than 6 muffins . . . because those were 6 giant muffins!):

http://diaryofafitmommy.com/4-ingredient-flourless-oil-less-fudge-muffins-cookbook-news/

Also, there is a version using protein powder that I like just as much, if not more (the protein powder is not expensive, is good quality, and available via Amazon):

http://diaryofafitmommy.com/flourless-4-ingredient-chocolate-peanut-butter-muffins/

I made this for my niece's birthday. You could sub GF flour? I've had great luck with cup for cup.

Following bc idk what we're going to do either for ours this Saturday. Baby is MSPI and hasn't had wheat or eggs either. She also won't eat anything but purees (just starting to try pieces of regular food) so I probably shouldn't worry. :silly:

I think the main part of the cake-smash is them getting the frosting all over themselves so is there something you could put frosting on?

What about a pudding of some sort? That would certainly make an adorable mess!

What about some kind of pudding or mousse? Im sure there are recipes using coconut or almond milk. You can put it in a ramekin and top with coconut whipped cream.

So T will be 1 next week and her party is the week after. DH has a wheat allergy and I have an egg intolerance so we are not giving her either of those foods. I took a stab at egg free flour free baking and it went poorly. It was really gummy and T gagged on it even though I cut it into 20 pieces. Any idea of something she could dig into that looks like a cupcake? Or a new recipe for me to try? I want something to put a candle in at her party.
