Shea moisture has one that's petroleum based. We use it as a moisturizer when DH isn't having an eczema flare-up.

Vanicream is what we absolutely swear by! When LO had bad eczema as a baby, as others have said we needed to apply Vanicream all over three times a day to stay on top of flare ups and twice a day to stave them off. Now that's she's mostly outgrown eczema, we do Vanicream nightly (or most nights) and we will apply extra to dry spots as needed.

SIL has used Vanicream on my nephew for years & LO and I use Cetaphil Restoraderm for our mild eczema--but I don't know if it has lanolin.

DD doesn't really have eczema, but during the winter she does get it a little bit here & there. For maintenance we use vanicream, and though expensive, my friend gave me a bottle of la roche posay and I use if there are any "bad" spots.

We also have good luck with Cerave and Vanicream--the tubs not the bottles. The main trick that finally worked for us was applying at every single diaper change. My pediatrician mentioned that once when I was complaining that the eczema wasn't clearing up--she asked when I was applying. I said I applied at night, and she said I have to apply 4-6 times a day and suggested doing it at diaper changes.

I followed her recommendations and we were totally cleared up within 3 days. Amazing.

We have a prescription but it was causing skin discoloration on my girls (they are brown and the sterioids were turning their skin whiter in the spots where I used it). So now I avoid hydrocortisone and the steroids as much as possible.

@Ms. RV: I would really just use Vaseline. Your pediatrician is probably recommending Aquaphor because it's an ointment, which tends to be more moisturizing than creams or lotions. We use Vaseline on our eczema child too. :D

I have no experience with eczema but I have super dry skin and I love Alba Botanical Super Emollient Coconut Rescue. It comes in a giant bottle with a pump so it's super easy to apply after bathing. I don't think it has any fragrance.

Goodness! Thank you so much, ladies! I had no idea there would be so many options. It felt like the last time I was at Target everything had lanolin but clearly there is a ton of readily available stuff that doesn't.

My oldest has super sensitive skin. I use diluted dr bronners baby Castille soap in the bath. Then eucalyptus lotion from 100percentpure after the bath. It's expensive but we've tried lots to make her eczema go away and that's def the best. Second best for her is Jason cocoa butter lotion.

Now that it is winter and the furnaces are running, DD's is covered in eczema flare ups. We use prescription hydrocortisone on flare ups, Eucerin all over twice a day and a humidifier in her room at night. Her ped recommended Aquaphor until I reminded her that DD can't use lanolin. Does anyone know of anything like Aquaphor that doesn't have lanolin?

Right now I have found Burts Bees Baby multipurpose ointment, but it has fragrance so I don't know how that will work with eczema.

Also, I put colloidal oatmeal cream all over tonight instead of regular Eucerin in hopes that might help more.
