Tried the Merlin Magic Sleepsuit, and it was not magical for us. The miracle blanket did such a good job both babies would stay wrapped all night because they couldn't really strain against anything. DS was a swaddle ninja and could break out of anything and he seemed to hate the regular swaddle. The love to dream swaddle was a life saver and they make a transition swaddle with zippers so when it's time to start swaddle weaning you can use that and have one arm out. We kept trying and eventually it started working. It was one of those times where I would silently say to her "ok I know you think you hate this and I'm really sorry to wrap you up like a burrito but I really truly believe this is BEST for you!!" (Shocker....I was right)<br /> I'd say don't give up on the swaddle yet. He hates the first 1-2 minutes, and then settles right down once we start bouncing him. We use halo sleep sacks and he strains hard to release his arms, complete with frustrated noises! We gave tried leaving his arms out (we did this with our daughter and she did great), but he startles hi elf awake.</p> <p>Anyone have other suggestions?? </p>
