Sounds like your body is telling you to eat more. EAT MORE!
Pregnancy is a time to listen to your body (I mean to an extent). You don't have to eat a hot dog but it sounds like you do need to eat more food of some type.

@Vegmama: Ok.. give in to the hunger! You are growing a PERSON of course your body needs more calories and it's telling you this! How much you gain does not necessarily correlate to what you eat - \ eat when you're hungry! When I was pregnant I ate ALL the time, I ate a granola bar in the middle of each night when I woke up to go to the bathroom. I still did that, and ate crazy crazy amount while breastfeeding up until just recently at 8 months.

I've also read that what your body craves connects to what you might be missing - maybe try upping your protein intake if you're craving meat?

I can tell when a growth spurt is going on by how hungry I am. Of you are still hungry, eat something else healthy! I'm starving if I don't have three meals/three snacks each day, but I'm also on a restricted calorie diet, so this helps me stay full.

I should add: I'm a gluten-free, vegetarian ... My meals consist of whole foods only, so no ice cream here. :( Today, I've had a gf waffle + PB, diced potato & eggs, hummus and veggies ... soooo much water ... and I'm still starving. I think baby is trying to get me to eat a hot dog.

It's like my stomach doesn't have a bottom to it. It just feels so empty. I'm not concerned about gaining weight (I know I'm supposed to), I'm just concerned that I'm constantly feeling hungry even after I eat. So weird.

It's ok to eat more if you are still hungry! Eat healthy snacks between each meal. And it's ok to indulge in a craving now and then. Growing a baby is a lot of work!

Echoing the others that you should eat when you're hungry!! There is a reason why you feel that way! I remember it well!

I agree with @MamaMoose:, it's important to eat if you're hungry because your body's telling you something. Maybe try an apple with peanut butter to get some healthy carbs and some fat and protein, which will keep you full longer. Just don't sit with an endless bag of chips or eat multiple bowls of ice cream :-P.

If you're always hungry your body is probably trying to tell you it needs more fuel. I would suggest eating when you're hungry, but doing so in a healthy way. So if you are starving, have a bowl of fruit, but not a bowl of ice cream.

Ugh! The constant hunger is back. From weeks 7-10, I was hungry alllll of the time. I didn't eat a lot, but man, when I would eat my meals (and snacks), nothing satisfied my hunger. Now that I'm in week 19, it's back! I was starving all day yesterday (even after eating a super-healthy breakfast, lunch, protein bar, and nice dinner).

Anyone else?

I feel like THIS is how people gain weight during pregnancy. I still haven't gained any weight, so I'm not super concerned, but geeze, I feel like a bottomless pit.

I should note, I haven't been giving into the hunger. I'm trying to stick with my usual meal plan each day (breakfast, nice lunch, snack, good dinner), and not give into cravings.
