You've gone through a lot and if you will infinitely love your newborn pictures and love those outfits every time you see them, then do it. And plan to sell them afterwards. I bet you could score $20 each for those and you would recoup half your money. I think $80 bucks is too much. When they are newborns they are so floppy that it's actually kind of difficult to get good pictures that show their clothes. M was on her belly for the majority of her pics because they stay still that way. I agree with everyone that said $40 is too much. It's a white onesie from Walmart underneath and a Carter's onesie on top. It would super easy to DIY! Do you sew or know anyone that can sew? My sewing skills are very basic, but they don't look too hard. You can always buy the bow ties (Mrs. Pen has a shop!) I also like @T-Mom's suggestion of using them as a birthday outfit instead. But from what I can see, if you can sew well with knits and find cute onesies, it's a pretty simple alteration of cut down the center of the [striped] onesie into a V-neckline, add a 1" contrast trim all around, sew button holes &amp; buttons, and make a complementary contrasting bow tie.
