@rachiecakes: Oh! I did boot camp for 3 weeks and noticed a huge decrease in my supply that first week. I don't know if it was the exercise or not having enough food or water but I was making about 4 oz less per day than I usually did. I stared eating more and drinking more water and that really helped. I still don't make as much but I'm still trying to lose some weight so I'm sure that once I stop trying to lose the weight, I'll go back to where I was production-wise.

I'm only with DS from 5:30pm until his bedtime, somewhere between 8:30 & 9:30pm. I nurse him before bed. He wakes up between 2:30 & 4am, I nurse him then & we're up at 6:30am, nurse and I'm out the door at 7:30... doesn't make much time for another pumping session.

Around 4 months I went on domperidone but it's $180/month, my insurance doesn't cover it. Maybe I'll try More Milk Plus and up my water intake. I've been working out/dieting more in the past three weeks and have lost a bit of weight.

@rachiecakes: Can you try taking More Milk Plus to boost it until your LO gets past the teething?

it's not necessarily over. I would suggest night pumping to help up your supply again. it sucks but it works. (majority of the time)

any way you can pump at home too? After feedings? I just think if you want to continue, it is possible. My supply dwindled and then went back up as late as 10 months, so if you're still producing some, I don't think it's too late...

Bumping this post for others to comment!

@NYCaliMama: teething & breastfeeding (or feeding in general, actually) has been such a challenge!
I definitely want to continue breastfeeding. I only get two pumping breaks a day and can take up to 30/40 minutes each time but it stinks only getting 2 or 3oz each session. I feel like each day I'm getting less and less.

I don't think you're totally done, but you are obviously taking a hit in your supply due to teething. I went through that for two months (!) while DD 2's first four teeth all came in at about the same time. She wasnt eating great at all and and I wasn't good about pumping since she hates bottles anyway... But I just kept at it with nursing as much as possible. After her teeth came in, there was dealing with biting too, but overall her nursing and appetite got better again... and so did my supply. We are at 13 months now and still nursing well 3... maybe 4 times, a day.

eta: if you want to continue I'd advise to keep at it with pumping... maybe even add an extra session. And drink tons of water. Or if you feel it's a good time to wean, you could very well at this point too.

I've had supply issues but have successfully breastfed DS for almost 8 months. I work full time, pumping twice a day, and nurse mornings and evenings.
The first week of July he was acting out of character, whining, clingy and wouldn't sit and nurse for anything, he didn't want to take a bottle either. I then noticed his two bottom teeth breaking through.
Since then I can hardly pump anything. I'm getting 2oz total for each session, maybe 3oz...
Am I done?
(I've been pumping for a half hour just now and haven't even reached the 2oz mark).
