I remember days around that point that my underwear would be pretty wet by the end of the day and I started wearing panty liners.

Could it be sweat? I leak pee, but I've also noticed a lot of extra dampness down there from being hot/rubbing/sweating. So gross.

@Mrs Hedgehog: I had them do a swab at some point cause I was paranoid and it was just discharge. Amniotic fluid (when my water broke) didn't seem to smell at all. They can do a swab pretty easily if you're nervous! But yeah, pregnancy discharge is so gross..haha.

It's probably nothing but it's better to be safe than sorry. It is possible (although unusual) for your waters to leak very slowly.

If you call your practitioner, they can do a swab and test to see if it is amniotic fluid or just plain ol'discharge! They say that amniotic fluid smells sweet.....

I had the exact same fear a few weeks ago but when I did the sniff test I realised that it actually did smell like pee! How revolting??!! Now, at 33 weeks, if I don't wear a pad, *I* smell like pee by lunchtime!!!! See, there's no such thing as TMI here!!

I think amniotic fluid is supposed to smell sweet, not like regular vaginal discharge. You could always cal your OB and ask them to check it, just to ease your mind.

@autumnlove: The thing is, I know it isn't that. Maybe sometimes but not usually. And for me this started a month or two ago. Again, I have always chalked it up to increased fluid.

I am 29 weeks and I went to see the OB yesterday morning for a normal check-up. She asked about any bleeding or leaking and I didn't think anything about it. Nope. None. But now I am home, it is 4 am and I can't stop thinking, am I?

I know that it is normal to have an increased amount of vaginal discharge which is what I have been chalking it all up to. But, at the end of the day if feels like I wet my underwear and I certainly didn't pee. TMI but I have had to smell it just to make sure I wasn't leaking urine and didn't realize it. There is no real smell, I mean, outside of, well, vagina. It isn't mucusy usually. Most of the time it is watery and clear. I cant lay on my back for too long or it feels like gross butt sweat (Sorry!). The other day I was laying on the bed before getting dressed and Mr. Hedgie noticed liquid clearly dripping out of me. He pointed it out and said it looked like I had sprung a leak. It wasn't urine.

I don't feel strange. I don't feel crampy. No bleeding and baby is moving and acting just fine. Heartbeat is strong and normal.

Am I leaking amniotic fluid or is this just the excess fluid I have been chalking it up to? I would really rather it be the latter since I don't want anything to be wrong with the pregnancy or have the baby be at risk.
