Honestly, it took me 15 months to start going back regularly (and I started in 2009 and was working out 4-5x a week throughout my entire pregnancy). It actually took a cross-country move and me going back to work full-time to find the energy and motivation to go back to the gym on a regular basis!

I go to the 7:30pm class on weeknights (2-3x per week). My husband stays home and my son is in bed by 7pm most nights. Then on the weekends we alternate days...I go Saturdays and my husband goes on Sundays.

If the box by your new office has noon classes...I would just sign up and knowing that you're paying that much money will give you the motivation to go! Seriously. When we moved I found a box I liked and committed myself to a year. I started going 3x / week and that's my baseline (unless I'm sick or hubs is away for work). But don't beat yourself up for not hitting the gym everyday...the pressure of going will make you resent going and Crossfit is only worth it if you enjoy it (as much as you can enjoy that kind of pain and suffering  ).

Me! Sadly. I did CF for two years including up until a week before I delivered, and was back at six weeks PP until my maternity leave ended. I just can't fit it in with working full time and LOs night wakings and then wanting to spend time with her and FI in the evening.

Don't beat yourself up! There are women at my box like you describe, but everyone is different. I'm 5 months PP now and I'm accepting that it might be a full year PP until I get back to it. While I really miss it, I'm OK with it because this is such a short time in our lives when I look at the big picture, and CF will still be there.

I had to stop the hours just weren't conducive to my work schedule and being a mom. I can't get up at 5 am and work until 10 pm. And he can't hang out there because he will just cry the whole time. So I haven't been in almost 2 years now and I miss it but I would miss my time with him more.

I started doing Crossfit 3 years ago. I did it until my due date and started back up again 2 months post partum. I was in a 3x week routine until 5 months post partum. After being back at work a few weeks daycare colds set in, sleep regression hit, and then we started looking for a house and we just didn't have time to work out at all. Now I haven't been in for 3 months.

There are so many new moms that get there regularly and work their butt off. I'm embarrassed that I can't seem to get my -ish together to be there. I feel like such a loser. One of the ladies is pregnant with #4!

I have to quit my box anyway because we're moving at the end of the month. I scoped out a box near my office today. Part of me wants to give it a go but another part wonders where I will get the time and energy.

Has anyone else taken a break or stopped Crossfitting?
