@MamaBehr: they have promos sometimes that i've taken advantage of. like, buy a $50 gift card, get a $5 one (bought them both for myself :D whatever, it was like getting a bonus $5!), and the subscribe & save discount for five or more items in a month is 20% vs 15% without amazon mom. they have other promos for things where select items will be an additional 20% off. for those registering for a baby shower, the completion discount is 15% for members vs 10% for non members.

@MamaBehr: not specifically amazon mom, but I use prime for everything! some things aren't a better deal than say, target. but some things - especially if you do 5+ items in a subscribe and save order - are. for example, we ordered DH's ridiculously $$ razors and got 20% off by adding to my s&s order, alongside dog food, wipes, and a couple other things. if I am short an item or two, I'll usually google "amazon subscribe and save deals" to find a cheap item to add (once I added a toddler snack, another time lysol wipes!).

diapers and baby wipes are always 20% off for s&s regardless of other items. not all sizes and brands of diapers and wipes qualify, though.

Have any of you bought baby food from amazon? Besides diapers what else do you use amazon mom for?

honestly, I thought the same thing. I joined before the price went up (so I paid $79) and seriously, it's paid for itself in convenience alone! having 30 lb bags of dog food delivered to the door instead of lugging a toddler to petsmart is amazingggg. lol!

but in all seriousness, I don't use the streaming often (mainly just bubble guppies) but the shipping alone is worth it IMO. and the diapers and wipes are a great deal if you can't find a better couponing deal elsewhere.

Okay, we have Prime with DH's account, but I'm the one who does most of the shopping so that's kind of annoying, but I'll just get him to sign up

Amazon mom is free. Amazon prime is $99/year.only the main prime account holder can link Amazon mom to their prime account.

I absolutely make that $99 back. I am a frugal cheap shopper and Amazon s&s with mom is typically cheaper than Walmart even.

It's really the prime membership you're paying for. Do you know anyone who wouldn't need Amazon mom, but who would want to share prime with you & you could split the cost? My mom & I share. I order a lot with subscribe & save each month & that saves me a lot, my cat food alone is $10 less than at the store so just that savings more than covers the cost of the membership. You can save significantly by looking for Amazon coupons on subscribe & save items.

If you or your other half have a Prime account you get the Amazon Mom perks for free. BUT you have to use that account to do the ordering or, yes, it will charge you.

So, around the time I was pregnant with LO #1, Amazon came out with their Amazon Mom program, and I got a ton of great deals with it. Then they changed the terms of the program several times so that it wasn't nearly as wonderful as it was to begin with...and I stopped ordering diapers from Amazon and I didn't need as much baby stuff after the first year anyway. Now, with LO #2 due to arrive, I looked at signing up again and saw that it's $99 a year?? And since I'm not the primary Prime account holder, I don't even qualify for a free trial? What in the world? Am I missing something? Did you shell out for an Amazon Mom membership? Is it worth it?
