Valves make a huge difference, but if those don't work try calling Ameda. They have great customer service and sent me out new valves in 2 days and ultimately a new pump when valves turned out to not be the problem.

I had the same experience as Lemonlong--putting on brand new little white rubber things (valves) made a big difference. You may also want to consider changing the diaphragms, that might make a difference as well.

@LemonLong: I've been rotating them (I have two sets of pump parts). I will try that too.

Have you replaced the little white rubber things lately? Putting new ones in always helped my output.

Long story short, over the past two weeks my supply has dipped. It's not as low as it was when I was sick (I went from pumping 11 oz to barely getting two), but I'm struggling to get 11 oz a day. I pump for volume and need 12 oz to get through the day. I am consuming enough calories, have made lactation cookies, and am working on getting more veggies in my diet.

All that to say, I think my pump is not working as well as it should. It fell onto the floor a couple of weeks ago...would that have hurt it? All my parts are tight and not misshapen, so I don't think that is the problem.

I have 4 months left before I make my goal of BF for a year, so I hope I don't have to buy a new pump.
