I had a hard time with milk supply but what I did try was pump for longer amounts of time each session - at least 20 minutes but ideally 25 minutes. I found that at the 20-25 min mark, I experience a 2nd let down and more milk started coming out. Maybe you could try that and see if that helps!

@Cchoi4: I've been nursing for 4 months. I pump every 2 hours for about 10-15 minutes. When I pump every hour I'm able to get my usual amount in the same time frame. I do it for a few days to increase my supply from the weekend and then go back to only doing 2 hours.

How long have you been pumping every hour? Are you trying to increase your milk production or just trying to understand the mechanics?

My understanding is that it is a gradual increase so if you have only been doing it for, let's say, a day or two, it might take this schedule over a longer period to see a noticeable increase in milk production.

Hmm.. I would think you'd get more at the every 2 hour pumping session. I stopped pumping after 2 months though. I know for me, I definitely got more the longer I waited.

I'm having a really hard time with this. If I pump every 2 hours I get the same amount as when I pump every hour. Shouldn't it be that I get half of what I can get in 2 hours every hour?
