I decided to wean pretty quickly after we dropped to just AM/PM sessions. DS was still not sleeping through the night and I was hoping that (plus CIO) would do the trick...and it did! So it was less than 2 weeks after.

It lasted ca. 5 months for us. Then LO dropped the pm before bed session and three weeks later also the am session. He was nearly 14m old once he totally quit. I was newly pregnant though so I'm pretty sure that contributed to his weaning.

I did am/pm nursing for another 8 months. It was working for LO and I so there seemed to be no reason to stop. Eventually she was less interested and I was pregnant with really sore nips do we stopped. It felt like a more or less mutual decision.

I ditched the pump at 11 months and daytime nursing sessions at one year. We kept the morning and. night nursing sessions until 14 months when I dropped nighttime nursing to help bestir routine and incorporate brushing teeth. We continued morning nursing until 15.5 months when we found out DD had food allergies and it became easier to just monitor her food intake.

8-10 weeks? The morning was the last session to go, and she got pretty disinterested by herself.

We only nursed in the morning once I was done pumping. We kept at it for 2 more months, during which time I got pregnant and Xander weaned on his own.

If you just nurse your baby am and pm, how long did that routine last after theoretically dropping daytime nursing and/or pumping? I ditched the pump at a year, and save for an occasional weekend midday session, only nurse am and pm. How long did that routine last for you? Did LO or you initiate the weaning process? I know everyone's experience will be different--just curious to hear what others have done!
