DOG.

Baby is nothing compared to the time my golden got the runs and made a huge mud pie in the middle of the living room carpet. I couldn't clean it up without retching. Me and DH had to take turns dealing with it, cause we could only handle a few minutes before gagging so hard.

I think the dog wins for sure - poop all over the crate, throwup all over the carpet and having to collect pee samples (because THAT'S so easy, ha).

However, I can toss the dog outside and spray down with the hose and spray out the crate. Seems you can't do that with the baby, so the baby wins for worse cleanup process!

@mediagirl: hahahahaha!

My dog. When I was about 20 weeks pregnant with LO 1 she got incredibly sick (we still aren't sure from what) & she was pooping & vomiting blood. Eventually blood was just seeping out of her bum. She was shaking & couldn't drink or eat or stand & literally smelled like she was dying after a mere few hours. Thankfully we were able to save her that time.

Probably the dog, but I guess it's close. My dog got a stomach bug during the day, when we still crated him in the living room. He must have been really upset about having the diarrhea in the crate with him, so he kicked it out-- a full fan of diarrhea sprayed out from his crate. Luckily we had wood floors so clean up wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Grossest thing baby did was when she SHE had a stomach bug. First we find her in the crib laying in her vomit, having smeared it all over and rubbed her face in it. After we cleaned her up and I fed her again (not the best idea) she puked straight at me, all over my chest and back somehow. But really, that one could have been way way worse.

@Snowdrop: That is horrifying.

Baby still cooking but I remember once, it was a really hot day and we had builders in. I got home and the plumber came out looking really pale, he said I wouldn't be happy with the dog as she had pooed in her room. I expected a little bit of sloppy poo from an upset tummy or something but when I looked in it was like her ass had exploded, all over tge floor, up the walls and smeared on her face... poor builders, the stench was unbearable. I ended up just ripping the carpet up and chucking it.

I really think having a dog prepared me for a baby! I can't remember something super gross right now... I probably block them out on purpose!

Definitely the dog!

I came home to a sick dog yesterday and it got me thinking... No poop blowout or spit up explosion by LO has come even close the time the dogs got Giardia a couple years ago. Grape jelly poop all over the carpet and digging pills out of vomit to re-give to the dogs takes the cake!

How 'bout you?

PS. Sorry for such a gross topic, but laughing is the only thing that gets me through these incidents. :grin:
