Thanks I'll have to find out about a probiotic
. @winniebee: I got the tdap right before I got pregnant. I was hoping he'd be healthy until his shots...I'm really hoping he doesn't have it, but the antibiotics should help(if he wouldn't push a good majority of it out of his mouth)

Oh no!!!

Did you get the tdap vaccine during pregnancy? I did and am wondering if this is the only precaution needed before immunizations.

@StbHisMrs: I got a liquid acidophilus probiotic in the refrigerated part of the "natural living" aisle at my local grocer & give her 1 ml in a syringe 1-3 times a day. They make a pedi powder too, but my MW said the refridgerated one is better.

Oh no! I hope that your LO stays healthy! We are having a whooping cough epidemic here as well, I will be nervous until Sawyer is a month of so past his immunizations (they need time to start working).

We found this awesome dispenser that was a little measure cup with a nipple lid. It was wonderful for getting some medicines in our little guy. I also recommend the probiotics!

Boo! Definitely see about picking up some probiotic also, to help ward off yeast. DD ended up with a yeast rash from the antibiotics she got in the hospital that took weeks to get rid of. :( Now I keep some stocked just incase... Now more yeast rash or thrush here!

Awwwh, sorry to hear this! Hopefully, he won't get sick!
Giving my LO an antibiotic was tough(dribbling out) but it seemed to be the easiest when she was bawling!

My brother called me today to let me know that my nephew tested positive for whopping cough :o( Friday my brother took my nephew in to the doctors because he had been coughing and sometimes throwing up afterwards, so they tested him for whopping cough. the doctor said he didn't think he had it(he has even had the vaccination), but they'd test him. the results came back today positive. DS is now on antibiotics as a precaution incase he has it, and since he's only 7 weeks old.
i feel bad for my brother because he feels awful that my nephew may have gotten him sick, but it's really nobodies fault. they had no idea. DS hasn't shown any real signs of having it. he was coughing a bit last week, but since the weekend hasn't really and the nurse said it sounds like that was a cold, because the cough would have gotten worse.
i'm gonna feel so bad giving him his medicine because they said it could upset his tummy, and he's already got a sensitive tummy. :o(
