For dinner, my husband picked up dinner from a nice restaurant to go and we ate in our dining room and used our china and lit some candles. It was stress-free but still really nice. </p> <p>If you're worried about going to a restaurant, try going for brunch! We stayed in, had takeout, a little wine, and cake, then called it a night. I think you could definitely bring him with you to dinner at that age though, so long as you were able to nurse/bottle feed if you needed to.
