I'd bet that they just had a state review and were found to be non-compliant and they are now having to get compliant quickly.</p> <p>That all being said, agreed that a reminder would have been nice. I'm sitting here looking at my forms that are due by Friday to secure our spot for summer and fall. If I don't get them done (with a registration fee) come summer my kiddos are out... Heck come next week even they are out for summer and I have to fall into the waitlist.</p> <p>It also feels like a revenue generator in that the along with the form I get to pay my annual registration fee. I will say, they are probably state-mandated forms (at least some of them) so that's why they're being so harsh. But I agree a reminder would be nice. </p> <p>I feel you on your frustration - I love my daughter's teachers at DC but the emails we get from administration range from incompetent sounding to stupid. Our daycare's gone through alot of changes, especially in admin (the director has changed 5!!! times since LO started 2 years ago). They also became an official Montessori school somewhere in there and got assessed by the EEC. At some point earlier this year, they sent a single note to all the parents saying that we all needed to fill out new student registration forms by a certain date (I think it was back in Feb). These forms are no joke (like 30 pages and the way they give it to you, you have to hand-write all your answers). I put it off and then forgot about it, and no one at daycare ever reminded us after that initial note. Then today, I get an email saying that since we were negligent in submitting our forms, they will no longer be able to care for my LO starting next week, unless I get the form in before then.</p> <p>I don't know why but this totally rubs me the wrong way. I sent the director a snarky reply but I sort of want to go in there and yell at them. I can't believe they'd threaten to kick my kid out over something so stupid.</p> <p>Ok, vent over. </p>
