@hellobeeboston: thanks for asking! It went fine and results came back all good. Yes, I’m on medication for anxiety but am currently trying to find a new psychiatrist to help me find something that works better for me.

@CatchAFallingStar: how did your exam go??

I don't think any level of "debilitating" is a good thing, and might be something you want to look into speaking with someone about...do you take any medication or CBD for anxiety?

Nope. That is an abnormal degree of anxiety. I'm so sorry you are still struggling with this. Wishing you some solace.

I do have some health anxiety, so I understand what you mean. Usually the physicals themselves don’t concern me but I always feel a little anxious until I get the results of any blood work or labs.

Yes. Any kind of medical thing, really. I can't even control it, because it's not fear in my mind. More like a physical feeling of being queasy and kind of sick. It does go away as soon as I leave the doctor's office, so the only thing I can do is recognize that it's just anxiety, and focus on getting through the day.

It's not my favorite thing but I don't get anxious about the results of the exam. I'm more anxious about sweating through the paper cover on the table.

@CatchAFallingStar: I've seen your previous posts about health anxiety. ::Hugs:: I hope you find some relief.

No, and I've had an abnormal pap before that resulted in a biopsy (which was fine). Every pap after has been fine as well.

Its fine to be nervous (I've actually broken out in a rash from nerves before a pap!), but it shouldn't be debilitating.
