At both daycares my daughter has been at they do not disclose who did the biting. I can say that in my daughters former daycare after the third and forth (2 times in the same day) time she was bitten by the same child I asked for her to be moved to another classroom, and they did ... now my son and daughter go to another daycare and my son has been bitten twice by 2 different children, the one on the hand I wasn't upset by, but the one on his face right under his eye freaked me out.

i think it was nice of them to call and apologize. i don't think i'd be mad, kids will be kids. i would, however, be embarrassed if that was my kid doing the biting.

@Mrs. Bee - I wouldn't think that you would be mad but you never how some other parents would react. My friend was telling me about her son's place which does disclose such things and certain kids cannot get play dates because of it! So sad!!

@andrea - ah i wasn't mad at the little girl. she is actually very sweet and friendly to me and mr. bee. her mom says she's going through a biting phase that they're trying to handle. i hope charlie doesn't start biting too!

@Mrs. Bee - They do not disclose so that your child isn't labeled "a problem" by other parents and then not get invited to play dates, parties, etc. I guess that makes sense to me!

Mavi comes back from daycare with at least 1 bite every 2 weeks. What can i really say? Plus, they are majority all boys so I'm sure Mavi does his share of biting back. (though i have no proof)

I wouldn't be too upset as long as it was handled appropriately, like @mailife said. The the daycare informed me and the parent apologized on behalf of her kid then, what can I do? Also, a little girl bit Charlie? Maybe she has a crush on him! A love bite!

My daughter got bit 2 weeks ago and I wasn't upset. Our day care does not disclose the information to either party so I don't know who bit her. Like Charlie, it didn't seem to bother her at all. This sort of thing happens all the time with kids.

I wouldn't be upset at all, as long as I knew what happened (didn't find the bruise and have to ask, etc) and it was handled appropriately. It happens.

One of the kids at Charlie's daycare bit him yesterday, and he has a pretty bad bruise on his back. I don't think it's bothering him though because he doesn't seem to mind if we touch it. The parent of the little girl who bit Charlie called me last night very apologetic. I'm not really mad... I'm sure Charlie will do something similar at some point!

How upset would you be if your child got bit at daycare?
