@BrentLee88: No losing it allowed!!! PCOS is fairly common and a lot easier to deal with/"fix" than other things. So be grateful for that!

I don't have PCOS but might be able to help you with the meds... Take Clomid CD3-7, CD1 being the first day of actual period flow. If you react to that dosage (it varies from person to person), you should ovulate 5-11 days, on average, after the last pill. So that would be CD12-18 (again, give or take). Hope that helps :)

I am "on the cusp" of PCOS and I don't have cysts.

I am on Metformin. I took Clomid once and it did make me ovulate.

Good luck!

@BrentLee88: I have PCOS with no cysts. I didn't take the other medication, but I did do 3 rounds of Clomid. Yes you can still be on your period when you are taking the pills, but don't take it as gospel that you will ovulate 5-11 days after your period. I ovulated on CD 23 and my period is only 5 days long. Actually, the first two rounds I didn't ovulate and when I upped my dosage to 100mg I O'd on CD 23. Got my BFP that cycle and am now 21 weeks. Good luck! I recommend charting and OPKs.

Glad you have some answers, even if they are not ideal...

It is possible to have PCOS without cysts.

Yes, CD 3-7 you can still have your period. CD1 is the first day of the start of your period.

Stay hopeful! Clomid helps a lot of women conceive. PCOS can be overcome. I was diagnosed with PCOS and now I am 30 weeks pregnant.

Do you chart? I know first hand that it's frustrating to try and chart when you have irregular cycles, but now that you are going on Clomid you may find things more reliable. It's a great way to confirm O and time sex!

Well after going to the Fertility specialist on Wednesday she had told me everything in my reproductive area in the ultrasound looks normal, well after meeting today with the Head Doctor of fertility he said he determines that it is Pcos... just because how irregular my periods are,how i have high testosterone levels in my blood work and how my uterus is very thin lining, he said they had trouble trying to get pictures of my ovaries because they are so far back they did the best on taking pictures of them although no cysts which i am confused about?? so what he wants to do if start me on Medroxypr Ac 10mg for 14 days to see if my progesterone levels turn out better, then to make a blood test on day 14 to see if it worked, Then he wants me to take clomiphene citrate 50mg on days 3-7 and i am guessing 3-7 is on my period days?? he had told me but honestly after i heard the words pcos i went blank..... then he said after i take that med that 5-11 days after period i should ovulate we are going try then to see if it works, he said if it doesn't work then he wants to do some kind of scan in my reproductive area because it could be something hidden causing the problem for all we know. so right now we are needing lots of prayers and thoughts, we were so excited that we shouldn't have trouble but to find out we will is just stressful and making me depressed, but hoping everything turns out good, jeez what a mess! but at least i got answers now!
