I suggested that my mom get one that attaches to the chair, but she wanted a free-standing one so it doesn't take up a chair when there are a lot of people over. I like that it's basically just another chair at our table. I loved my FP booster seat, as it was great to take to restaurants when she was too small for the restaurant high chairs. We put a tea towel down over the chair before snapping on the seat. It's been working great for the past few months. We roll it out for her meals then set it off to the side the rest of the time. Which did you choose and why? Our chairs have upholstered cushions so that makes me nervous but at the same time we don't have a ton of space.
