I had an IUD put in 6 months ago and when I went back for the check up the strings were up in my uterus so I can't check for them. But the Dr. did an ultrasound and it was where it was supposed to be. It took them about an hour total. He said it was in a fat deposit, like my body walled it off, so it had probably been there awhile (so my other weird symptoms must've been something else). He also said my uterus had no evident hole (another sign it happened awhile ago) or any damage. So now I'm just recovering. It doesn't hurt too bad, just kinda sore. It was half hanging out of my cervix. I went to the ER for excessive bleeding. They said it was falling out and shoved it back up in doing further damage.
