The health food store we frequent has a consultant who pointed him in the direction of a good brand! Hoping they help. I'm thinking about giving DD some probiotics as well. I hope it passes quickly. As for the antibiotics and breastfeeding, I was on them for several weeks this past winter for mastitis, a sinus infection, and bronchitis. H did not get thrush, which was great because she had it twice before. Definitely take probiotics. I had a wicked case of thrush with my first LO, but despite having to take antibiotics with LO #2, I took probiotics and didn't get thrush. Good luck! Also, fyi, I take cranberry pills daily to ward off UTIs. It may be overkill because I don't get them frequently. No thrush, and the antibiotics did their job. I did eat a little extra yogurt just in case. I did get thrush the first go round because my nipples were like war wounds. It looks like I have an hour or so to wait and make sure that's what it is.</p> <p>I'm nervous about taking antibiotics while breastfeeding! I KNOW it is just fine but I'm looking for some positive stories. I'm so afraid DD will end up with thrush because of them and that terrifies me because breastfeeding has been going so well and I really don't want to threaten that relationship. </p> <p>Anyone have any stories or recommendations? Mostly I just wanted to post to distract myself because I feel miserable and am really frustrated about the whole situation! Ugh. </p>
